This ball was pitched to Carlos and Carlos in the WBC first-round matchup between Puerto Rico and Mexico in Guadalajara on 3/11/2017. Team Puerto Rico would win that evening in front of several thousand rowdy Tapatios. The game was even halted when a fight broke out among fans of both teams. Several family members of the Puerto Rican team were escorted into the dugout for their safety.
Team Puerto Rico would go on to finish second in the 2017 tournament falling to Team USA later that month in the Championship Game.
